Come learn Japanese with Arren!  This website was started to help you learn Japanese online and offline.  We will show you the resources that are available for fast acquisition of the language.  This is useful when you want to visit Japan and feel confident that you have a good base of all the essential vocabulary you need as a tourist.

As you learn Japanese with Arren, you may want to start with an all audio course such as the Pimsleur course. We provide you with a study guide for the Pimsleur Japanese course because you will inevitably forget 30% of what you learned.  This study guide will be very helpful in recalling the vocabulary you learned.

After Pimsleur, the Linguaphone course is the next logical step as it adds written text in addition to the audio course to your learning. At this point, you may also want to start with the Japanese alphabet -- Hiragana and Katakana.  This is used to phonetically spell words such as the English words that are "borrowed" and used in the Japanese language.   Many menu items and signs are written in Hirgana and Katakana, so its a great idea to learn them before you visit Japan!

While you are learning Japanese, remember to have fun, take your time, and learn little by little! (Sukoshi zutsu)
